Alice Beneyton

Alumni

Born and raised in France along the Atlantic coast, Alice initially studied agronomy and environmental sciences before realizing that she missed the sea and wanted to dedicate her life to protecting our oceans. Fascinated by marine megafauna and specifically elasmobranchs, she embarked on an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Marine Environment in 2020 allowing her to study in no less than 4 different countries. For her master’s thesis, she joined Pelagios Kakunjá and studied the scarring pattern of whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) in La Paz Bay and its implication for conservation, which allowed her to graduate in 2022.
