Joel originates from London, England, and has long since been deeply determined to become an expert in the ecology and biology of sharks. Joel spent a total of 5 months as an intern at Pelagios, assisting in a number of different research projects, several of which culminated with contributions to publications. As part of his bacherlors degree in natural sciences at the University of Cambridge, Joel carried out a research project regarding the evolution of ontogenetic morphometric trajectories in several shark species, under the supervision of Pelagios staff.
